My name is Emma E. Arteaga. I am from Peru, South America. I came to the United States in 1981. I am the Owner of Creative Learning Day Care; I am also an Early Childhood Educator and have worked in related fields in my many years of Educational Experience.
In 1992, I taught at a private head start/preschool center for 8 years, here in Fairfax County, VA. I obtained my C.D.A "Child Development Associate" degree and Psychology degree. In 2000, I opened Creative Learning Day Care. I brought my expertise as a head start teacher and (High Scope) Learning Activities training to my own facility.I am a licensed provider from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Social Services and have been serving Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers and their families for over 10 years.

My Goal
As a family home child care provider and an Early Childhood Educator is to educationally provide care in a safe, comfortable, loving environment. I practice a developmentally appropriate curriculum and allow the children to learn through exploration, while building their confidence. My assistant and I work together to create activities and themes that are interesting and fun for the children while at the same time working to develop skills that meet and encourage various learning strategies; also taking into consideration the child's interests and cognitive skills.
